Greetings, This message is bringing a whole new chapter of Forest Moon as now we are in a new area again, a town called Concrete in WA State, East of Mount Vernon and we are surrounded by the beautiful Cascade Mountains all around us. We are buying this house with almost 1 ½ acres, and a 1400 sf shop of which I’ve converted a side of for magickal work, teaching classes to the Tribe, our kids group, and maintaining our stock of herbs, stones, and candles. I will be growing a garden and orchard here and in 5-10 years we will be going solar. I also have 33 chickens so plenty of eggs coming up and I will be planting some maple trees so I can try out making maple syrup. We are making this our ultimate homestead and will be meeting here for our Sabbats and festivals for the local Forest Moon and anyone out of State that is in our area. Cheyanne is now 17 months and our son, Antheny is 2 months, future leaders of Forest Moon and a great joy in our lives. Ashley has started a new business called Munkin Cakes named after our daughter Cheyanne affectionately nicknamed Munkin. She has started a cupcake business with her specialty being cupcake jars but she also makes many varieties and takes requests of flavors. Her website is http://www.munkincakes.ezweb123.com/and go Like her on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/MunkinCakesShe does ship them as well.
Something new I’m including in our schedule is Full Moon Bonfire nights starting at 8PM with the schedule as follows: June 4, July3, Aug 2, Sept 30, Oct 29, Nov 29, Dec 28
This is a unique year being 2012 and the end of the Mayan calendar and with that I will be focusing a lot of classes on homesteading along with the survival series that’s included in our Tribe syllabus. I don’t adhere to the conspiracy theorists views that it’s the end of the world but rather that it’s a new stage in humanity that we as Pagans can look forward to. As seen below I have made our Yule celebration a 2-day event so we can see the day after “the end of the world” come and go and laugh. Then we will follow that up Dec 29th with our New Year’s Party with fireworks to bring in the 2013. Now I will cover some of the areas we work on and write the dates on your calendar. Just a reminder we don’t charge for any events or projects we do as we are a non-profit, we do accept donations of Pagan items that will either be used in our Troop support program or in Tribe projects and to help those that need help. Email for shipping address and we are always available for coffee, discussion, or any kind of assistance we can provide.
Forest Moon Troop support
. For our Troops we always look for donations of Pagan books, stones, herbs, music, ritual items, candles, mortar and pestles, tarot decks and rune stones, scrying mirrors, and drinking horns. We also offer DFGL (Distinguished Faith Group Leaders) status for those groups that don’t have a leader as the Military does not have a Pagan/Wiccan Chaplain in the Army so DFGL’s are an important asset for all Military Pagan groups and are required by Military Regulation for any group. We offer advice for VA issues as we also have contacts within the VA for issues Veterans face, I was in the Warrior Transition Battalion at Fort Lewis and still have many connections for issues facing our Wounded Warriors. I also maintain a library of all Military regulations and keep them updated to assist any Pagan Soldier with problems faced by the Military as being a Pagan in the Military can be trying at times.
Forest Moon Community Support
Monthly coffee meetings. We meet the first Saturday of each month at 10AM at Perks here in Concrete, WA the address is 44586 Wa-20, #J,Topics range and we have a business meeting then as well. The schedule for coffee starts in June 2, July 7, Aug 4, Sept 1, Oct 6, Nov 3, Dec 1 again, we meet at 10AM and go until noon.

The current schedule is July 21, Aug 18, Sept 15, Oct 20, Nov 17, and Dec 15 Address can be requested via email or give us a call at 360-853-7065. July will be Orientation and overview, parental forms will be filled out then and the kids will fill out a questionnaire, they will also be taught Pagan Ethics and the Rules of Witchcraft. When and why to use magick etc and we will also field questions and answers. August we will go over Meditation, Auras and Shielding, and Dreams. Sept. will be the Tools of Magick, and altar lay-outs. We will also have candle, incense, and wand making classes throughout the year. The Tribe is also open to adults as we have had an interest in many adults to come but thought it was for kids only, anyone can come who wishes to learn.
Pagan Paranormal Group
As Pagan’s we have a closer connection with spirits and other entities so this group is a different approach then your typical group. We have been on hiatus and have 2 open cases currently. Now that we have moved to Concrete and life is slowly stabilizing we will soon start the Paranormal group back up in force. I’m also always looking for those of you that have sensitive skills ie. Clairvoyants, Clairaudients, etc
Areas we will cover include:
Entity Identification and removal (if necessary)
House cleansings and Blessings
Possessions
Poltergheist Activity
EVP (Electrical Voice Phenomena)
UFO Sighting and Alien Abduction
Cryptozoology
Minor Conspiracy with relation to Paranormal events
Unexplained Phenomena classified as other or unknown.
Open Rituals
Interest has been shown in public rituals for the Sabbats and we will be holding celebrations here on the property in Concrete with the schedule as follows: June 16th is our Midsummer and Forest Moon Reactivation starting at 10AM with the lighting of the bonfire and the cutting of the ribbon. This will be a potluck so bring a salad or something your family enjoys.July 4th we will have a BBQ and fireworks more on that will come out later. Sept 22 will be Mabon potluck again at 6PM for those that work and we will always have a bonfire for the Sabbats. Oct 31 is Samhain come in a costume, we will start at 4PM and go until midnight, there will be a Dumb Dinner table and altar for those who passed over. We will have games for the kids and always a history lesson on what Samhain is. Nov is open but those wanting to do something for Native American day by all means give us a call. Now, 2012 being that special year Dec 21-22 we will hold for Yule and there will be a 24-48 hr fire lit and potluck but we will hold a vigil all night for those interested. All of our Sabbat celebrations are kid/family friendly and there is no alcohol.
Everyone on our board is Ordained as well and available for Handfastings, Handpartings, Passings-Over, Wiccanings and any other rituals needed. We offer ordainment through Forest Moon for all interested as we offer classes and don’t pass it out without knowledge.

Greetings, Forest Moon has been in dormancy due to lack of participation and we were in the process of looking for a new place to live. We are now in the process of buying a home and property in Concrete, WA and will be having a reactivation celebration for Midsummer on June 16th at 2PM. We have almost 1 ½ acres and will have a bonfire pit, also have a 1400 sf shop that I have made one side a magickal shop so will have Forest Moon Tribe there as well and will be making candles, incense, wands etc and have plenty of room now. I will establish a calendar for Tribe meetings and Pagan coffee will be here as well at the local Concrete coffee shop every first Saturday of the month starting in July. June 16th will be a potluck just email for directions and I will have a calendar of events made up for everyone when they come. We will also have our kids survival camp-out in July here at the farm as well and let me remind you, as has been asked before, the Tribe is designed for adults as well as kids for beginners in Paganism so anyone is invited to come out. The coffee is always on so anyone can get ahold of us and come out for coffee and discussion. I will also be starting up a garden, orchard, and we now have 27 new chicks so there will be plenty of eggs this summer. Looking forward to Forest Moon moving forward again, our website is still www.forestmoon.spruz.com our Facebook is http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=524912412&ref=tn_tnmn#!/pages/Forest-Moon-Grove/134048249940279 and we have a yahoo group found at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/forestmoongrove/
My email is medicyne_eagle@yahoo.com and we are always available for those that have questions or need counsel. We also still have our DFGL program for those Troops that need support in the Military.
Look forward to starting up group events again. Blessings.

Greetings, this brings some new events in life as many of our friends in Forest Moon like to hear what’s going on. Forest Moon locally as you know has gone on hiatus due to lack of interest, but that may start up again later in the year or next year depends on request. The year has started on a bad note for me with Cerridwenn, my large Maine Coone cat as many of you knew of went missing and I believe she told me her good-bye’s and went out to die on her own, she is in a better place now. Then, also in January we were trying to get a 40-acre rental and were approved but crooked real-estate companies are out there and they gave it someone else although we were approved and should have had it. Feb. 4th my Great Aunt passed on, I will sorely miss her and regret having not spent more time with her but her suffering has ended and she also, is in a better place. Now, here it is still February but we may have a rental near Hillcrest Park as many of our locals know where that is and it is everything we have wanted in a house so we will be moving soon. That is one positive thing moving on and our new son, Antheny was born into this world January 26th at 1028AM weighing in at 7lbs 14oz and 20 inches long. His name is Antheny Eric Alan Cooper and he is as of this writing 2 weeks old, Cheyanne is now 15 months, getting into everything but always a joy and she is also excited about having a baby brother. Having a new family is very exciting as I started late in life but I wouldn’t change a thing as I’m glad my military days are over and I can focus on this new chapter. We will be expanding the farm with 20 more chicks to add to our flock and possibly start selling eggs this summer. I am also looking at the garden and possibly expanding on my orchard so that is where are our lives are now. I’m also working on an associates degree on-line as a Veterinary Technician as I already got my diploma as a Vet Assistant. These things I plan on eventually coming into play when we finally have the Sanctuary up and running years from now. Ashley is having fun as a mom and working on writing projects, bread and cupcake baking and homestead cooking as we work on skills for the Sanctuary as a self-sufficient green Pagan village. That’s about all as of now, I will keep you updated from time to time but always remember we are only a phone call away and always have the coffee on. Blessings.

Greetings, this update is including several new folks that joined our email list and groups from Pagan Pride events and several new that joined the Spruz site, yahoo group and facebook page so I’m going over new dates and new stuff going on in our various projects we take on. I’ve broken them down by project starting with our Troop support. Forest Moon Grove is a legal non-profit Pagan Church in Northern WA State specifically Mount Vernon (Skagit County) and recognized by WA State. We will be 501c3 through the IRS eventually and are in the process of raising the 400$ needed to file. We are Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce members and have various connections within the community businesses. We will be interviewed by the Skagit Valley Herald September 20th on Forest Moon projects and Paganism in general which may open some doors as we will see. We have also done interviews on Pagan Podcasts in the past and they are available for listening too.
Forest Moon Troop support
We still have our group in Afghanistan although our group leader has been on leave as he has a new one coming into his family. November 5 will be our first formal Pagan Troop packaging day and we will have our kids group making Yule cards and decorating boxes etc.
Forest Moon Community Support
Monthly coffee meetings. We meet once a month at 1200 at the Whidbey Coffee in the Cascade Mall in Burlington, WA. Our current schedule is8 October, Nov 5, and Dec 3. Topics range and we have a business meeting then as well. Also, October 29th we will have a Halloween party here at the HQ complete with a history lesson on Halloween as well as Samhain, dunking for apples and plenty of food and candy for the kids, and Tarot reading s for the Witches New Year. It will start at 2PM.
We run a homeless closet in Skagit County and maintain storage units with warm clothes, blankets, coats, shoes and boots, job interview style clothes, and small appliances. With the cold approaching we keep an eye on our homeless situation here and take warm plates of food to some of them on occasion. As there is no immediate emergency shelter here unless temperatures reach 25 degrees we also look for tents. We also accept donations of these items as well. We attend homeless connection days the county runs and pass out these items and we are on the referral list for our local Community Action. We also have a heavy focus on homeless Veterans as there are many out there and attend Veteran Stand-down days as they come with the last one being January 29 of 2011.
Pagan Harvest is our Community Education and is similar in nature to Pagan Pride days. We have many vendors, workshops, concerts, and cultural events. It will always be the first weekend of October and is 2 days, Saturday and Sunday. We have an Elders table and have our guests sit and h ave a q and a session for the visitors. We will always be looking for vendors and guests for workshops. 2012 event will be Oct 6-7 with Oberon Zell, Phaedra Bonewits, Kerr Cuhulain, DJ Conway, and Kristin Madden coming as guest speakers with music by Green Fay and Bards of the Koad. More will follow as it is always in continual changes over the next year but we will always be asking for vendors.
We also have a sponsoring Law firm, Lustick Law, located downtown Mount Vernon that is there for our needs and to assist our members when needed, they also have connections in some other states.
Forest Moon Tribe
We always look at our children as our future and Pagans are no different in that they will keep our Traditions alive. The Tribe focuses on ages 5-18 and is set on a syllabus we made which can be requested by anyone and emailed out. Tribe will always start at 2PM and the current schedule is Oct. 15, Nov 12, and Dec 10, held at Melissa’s house, our Tribe coordinator. Address can be requested via email or give us a call. October will be Orientation and overview, parental forms will be filled out then and the kids will fill out a questionnaire. November will be Pagan Ethics and the Rules of Witchcraft. The schedule is September 25, October 16, November 6, and December 11. Again, September will be an orientation and group overview, October is the beginning of basic tools, November will be investigative paperwork, and December will be Yule ghost stories. We offer ordainment through Forest Moon for all interested as we offer classes and don’t pass it out without knowledge.

We do have plans of being in the Mount Vernon, WA Christmas Parade so anyone who wishes to be involved with decoration ideas or walking with us let us know. It will go through downtown Mount Vernon November 27th more to follow as I get details closer to November.
We have kicked around the idea of a Faerie Faire held in the Springtime, these are ideas we have that can’t happen unless we have interest shown so let us know if these are things you would love to see. We will also be attending the Witches Ball Oct 22 in Tacoma and when inquiring about a Yule Ball no one seems to know where to find one in WA State so we may be looking into getting one going as well in the next couple years. Lastly, Forest Moon will be starting up a Sanctuary here in the Skagit Valley which will, in essence, be a Pagan Eco-village for Pagans to live on. It will as many acres as we can acquire, will be off the grid as in have its own power source be it solar, wind, or hydro. We will have a community building named Valhalla with a grand room, kitchen and several class rooms for large events we may have. Originally the plan was also to have a lake or pond in the West, a fire pit in the South, an open-air stage for concerts in the East, and Valhalla would be on the North side. These are all ideas we have that one day will come to happen.
In closing I will post our HQ postal address as well as our new pay-pal address as some have been inquiring about monetary donations. Our goal for the next year is to have our own Forest Moon building and Pagan Harvest will go on the first weekend of October 2012. The plan for 5 years will be our Sanctuary.
